What is Absolute Solutions Billing Service turn-around-time?
EDI payors average 18-20 days from data entry to payment posting and bank deposit. Additionally, secondary payors are billed electronically with auto-posted primary payor data, eliminating the need for paper EOB’s.

If you use EDI, how do I know I got paid accurately?
Payment verification is conducted on both a system and manual basis. The contractual allowed value is setup in our software system and sounds and alert when payment does not match the anticipated amount. Additionally, a senior biller reviews all EOB’s and immediately submits appeals on underpayments.

How is my A/R worked?
Absolute Solutions works the A/R each and every day. We coordinate staff in California with staff oversees to ensure timely follow up of every claim, regardless of the balance. Status updates are documented on every account where payment is not made timely or in accordance with contractual obligations.

When are Statements sent?
Statements are personally reviewed by our experienced staff and sent on regular intervals, at least monthly.

How are Collections handled?
Collections are a sensitive subject and a customized collection plan is developed for each practice based on your preferences. We can work with your collection agency or make recommendations based on those we work with regularly.

I have patients. Do I really need to market?
Yes. Patients’ today does not mean patients tomorrow. Simple contract or health insurance changes create significant changes in the medical practice. Be prepared by knowing your patient population and maintaining a presence.

Does marketing do anything beyond grow my practice?
Absolutely. Superior marketing will educate your customer and referral sources. It will give them an opportunity to get to know your practice at their own pace. Your formalized marketing plan will help you reach your goals by creating a specific path and documenting your accomplishments.

My business is primarily referral based, why would I market and who to?
There are multiple target audiences in the health care arena, from patients, to other physicians to facilities and supplemental services. We will help you identify your target audiences and smart market to those that make the biggest impact on your practice. Some examples include a member’s only website and a recurring newsletter that tracks who you are connecting with and the return on that connection.

EMR

Where do I start?
There are many functionalities that you may not even realize. Start by making a list of what you know you want.

How do I know which EMR to choose?
Choose an EMR with resources and longevity. You can not afford to invest in a system that does not have the financial resources to stay current and support your ongoing needs, nor a fly-by-night company. Look to your specialty society and the AMA for suggestions.

I have heard nightmares of cost and frustration, how can I succeed?
Be prepared and invest in a project manager. Realize you do not know what you do not know, and neither does your office manager. Hire someone you trust who does and will guide you through the process.

Relocation

We are too busy and have outgrown our space, but, I don’t have the time necessary to do all that goes with moving. What can I do?

A partner agreement is too expensive to have drawn up, and we get along fine, why do I need a written agreement?
